Booking an appointment
- Booking online reserves a slot; it isn't a contract for the work itself. That starts when you bring the bike in and approve the quote.
- We'll confirm your booking by email. If you don't get one, check your spam folder, then call us — assume it hasn't reached us.
- Please arrive about five minutes before your slot. Running late is usually fine — give us a ring so we know to expect you, and we'll fit you in.
- To cancel or change, use your account if you have one, or call the shop. Please give us as much notice as you can.
- You can cancel from your account up to 2 hours before your slot. After that, or once we've started work on your bike, please call us — by then the slot is hard to fill and parts may already be fitted.
Prices and quotes
- Prices shown are for labour only. Parts are quoted separately.
- Prices shown when booking are estimates based on the service you picked. The final price is confirmed after we've assessed the bike.
- We will not carry out work you haven't approved. If the bike needs more than you booked, we'll contact you and wait for your go-ahead.
- If we can't reach you, we'll do only the work you originally approved.
Your bike
- Please remove valuables, lights, computers and luggage before dropping off. We can't accept responsibility for accessories left on the bike.
- Tell us about anything we should know — previous repairs, known faults, non-standard or modified parts.
- We may decline work where a bike is unsafe to ride, beyond economic repair, or needs parts we can't source. We'll always explain why.
Collecting your bike
When the work is done we'll tell you by phone, text or email. That notice sets out what we did, an itemised invoice, any storage charges, and where the bike is being held.
- Please settle the invoice and collect within 30 days of that notice, during our opening hours.
- Bikes left longer may accrue storage charges. We'll tell you the rate in the notice rather than springing it on you afterwards.
Uncollected bikes
We'd much rather give you your bike back — but we can't store bikes indefinitely, so there has to be a point at which one is treated as abandoned. This section explains exactly when that is and what happens.
- If a bike is still uncollected after 30 days and the repair and storage charges are still unpaid, we may treat it as abandoned.
- Before selling or disposing of anything we will send a final notice giving you at least 7 days to pay and collect. If we hear nothing in that time, the sale goes ahead without further notice.
- Proceeds are applied to what's owed — the unpaid repair, accumulated storage, and the costs of the sale or disposal itself.
- By leaving a bike with us you accept this policy, including that ownership is forfeited once the periods above have passed.
This sits alongside, and does not replace, our rights and duties under the Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1977.
Our work
- We carry out repairs with reasonable care and skill, as the Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires.
- If something we did isn't right, bring the bike back and tell us — we'll put it right.
- Parts we supply carry their manufacturer's warranty. Wear items (tyres, brake pads, cables, chains) aren't covered by a workmanship warranty, because they wear.
- Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights, or our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
Accounts
- Keep your password to yourself; you're responsible for what's done through your account.
- Give us accurate contact details — we use them to tell you your bike is ready.
- We may suspend an account being used abusively, or to make bookings that aren't genuine.
This website
- We try to keep prices and availability accurate, but we can't guarantee the site is error-free or always available.
- If a price is listed wrongly, we'll tell you before doing the work — you're free to walk away at that point.
- How we handle your data is set out in our privacy policy.
